Theme saves and uploads report deprecated names and common Liquid mistakes as warnings. Settings are checked against their type.

# Warnings

* `label` on sections, blocks, presets and settings groups, the `category` setting type and the `layouts` directory are reported as deprecated, with their new name.
* A filter in an `if`, `elsif`, `unless`, `case` or `when` condition is reported. Filters are not applied in conditions.
* A `render` or `include` with `|` before its arguments is reported.
* Warnings never block a save or an upload. See [File checks](/themes/architecture#file-checks).

# Setting checks

* A setting with an unknown type, or without a property its type requires, is rejected with the path of the setting. Before, some of these saves failed with a generic error.

# Exports

* Exported themes use the `layout` directory.
