--- url: https://docs.youcan.shop/apps/developer-tools/apps-cli/commands.md --- # Command reference All commands run from your app's directory. Commands that read the app config accept `--config ` (`-c`) to use `youcan.app..json` instead of `youcan.app.json`, see [linked configs](/apps/dev-to-production#_4-separate-environments-with-linked-configs). ## Development | Command | Description | | --- | --- | | `youcan app dev` | Run the app in dev mode: tunnel, dev store subscriptions, and live extension sync. `--no-tunnel` uses localhost directly. | | `youcan app install` | Open the installation page for your dev store. | | `youcan app generate extension` | Scaffold a new extension. | ## Deployment | Command | Description | | --- | --- | | `youcan app deploy` | Validate, create a version, and release it to every installed store. `--message` (`-m`) describes the version, `--version` names it, `--no-release` creates it without releasing, `--force` (`-f`) skips the safety prompts. | | `youcan app versions` | List the app's versions and mark the active one. | | `youcan app release --version ` | Release a specific version by number or name, including an older one, to roll back. | ## Configuration | Command | Description | | --- | --- | | `youcan app config link ` | Create `youcan.app..json` linked to one of your apps. | | `youcan app config pull` | Update the config file from the active released version. | | `youcan app env show` | Print the app's environment variables, including its API credentials. | | `youcan app env pull` | Write those variables to an env file. `--env-file ` picks the file, `.env` by default. |
